Cormack - A Breeding Study Project (Part 1)

My first love and the driving force behind my passion for KittyCatS is finding out what lies beneath the genesis traits of starter kitties.  I've decided to create an ongoing series to share here on my blog, documenting my process of "popping traits".

The first starter kitty in this series is Cormack.  I purchased him from KittyCatS Main Shop and opened him up after the Halloween 2014 Collection Kitties were released, so there is a possibility that he hides new traits.

1st Pairing and Results:

I usually go for fur and eyes first, so I paired Cormack with Nitty, a Foxie Salt and Pepper Mask sporting Exotic Breeze eyes.  Both of these traits are fairly recessive and my choice of partner for Cormack paid off.  The resulting kitty revealed his hidden fur and eyes. ☺

Cormack & Nitty Results:

Fur:  Abyssinian Crème (Because Abyssinian Crème is dominant to Foxie Salt & Pepper Mask, Abyssinian Crème is definitely the fur hiding in Cormack.)

Eyes:  Exotic Treasure (Exotic Treasure is dominant to Exotic Breeze, so Exotic Treasure is definitely the eye hidden in Cormack.)

Shade:  Unknown (Cormack threw back Flair shade so this means he could be hiding Flair OR BETTER!)

Tail:  Unknown (Where did this Mysterious tail come from?  Could it be the hidden tail from Nitty or could it be the hidden tail from Cormack?  Only time will tail... I mean tell!)

Ears:  Unknown (No clues this week.  Maybe next week with provide more info!)

Whisker Color:  Unknown (No clues here either.)

Whisker Shape:  Unknown (Stubby is the shown trait from Nitty, so Cormack could be hiding Stubby OR BETTER!)

Conclusion:  Cormack definitely hides Abyssinian Crème fur and Exotic Treasure eyes.  He hides Flair shade OR BETTER, Mysterious tail OR BETTER, and Stubby Whiskers OR BETTER.  He offered no clues for his ears and whisker color this week.

Comment:  I unpacked this kitty to backbreed with Cormack for his 3rd pairing.  Backbreeding this kitty will possibly show me Cormack's shade, whisker shape, and tail.
